What a Forever tier set is

WoW: Forever's Season 1 tier sets are the new class armor sets tied to its first two raids. At its 12 September 2026 "What's Next" panel, Blizzard said Hyjal Summit and the Barrow Deeps "set the stage for raid encounters, new tier sets, and a legendary reward," without naming a single set or bonus. Barrow Deeps is a 10-player, max-level challenge raid. Hyjal Summit is a 20-player raid. Both open 9 December 2026, five weeks after Forever's 4 November launch.

Blizzard has not followed up with specifics since that panel. Everything past this paragraph comes from Wowhead's beta datamine, reported independently by Icy Veins and other trackers, not from a Blizzard patch note. Treat the exact numbers below as beta values that can still change before the raids open.

New tier armor is already taking shape on Hyjal's slopes.

The new tier sets found in the beta

All nine classes get at least one new tier set, and five split into role-specific versions. Druids get four: a healer set, a bear-tank set, a feral damage set, and a balance set. Paladins and Shamans get three each. Priests and Warriors get two each. Hunters, Mages, Rogues, and Warlocks get one. That is 18 separate six-piece sets, each with a bonus at 2, 3, 4, and 5 equipped pieces.

Two examples show the pattern. The Warrior's Battlegear of Glory (Arms and Fury) adds 1% attack and casting speed at 2 pieces, cuts Intimidating Shout's cooldown by 30 seconds at 3, adds 36 attack power against Humanoids at 4, and cuts Recklessness's cooldown by 30 seconds at 5. The Mage's Manaflare Regalia improves hit chance by roughly 1% at 2 pieces, cuts Counterspell's cooldown by 5 seconds at 3, adds up to 21 spell damage against Elementals at 4, and at 5 pieces gives Frostfire Bolt a better chance to trigger Missile Barrage and Fingers of Frost, plus extra crit during Combustion. The Warrior numbers match exactly across three independent beta trackers. For the Mage, Icy Veins lists the 2-piece hit chance at 1.1% instead of 1.0%, and several other classes' cooldowns differ between trackers by up to half a second, so the last digit on some bonuses is not settled.

How to craft part of your tier set

Four of each set's six pieces, shoulders, gloves, legs, and boots, can be crafted from recipes a vendor sells in Hyjal. Beta trackers have not pinned down which profession teaches them or what skill level they need. Every recipe needs Malleable Essence of Nature, which only comes from disenchanting Hyjal Summit or Barrow Deeps loot, so crafting still runs through the raid. A player report from a Hyjal vendor, posted 23 September 2026, showed the finished pieces are Bind on Equip but tagged Unique-Equipped: Artisan's Tier, so you can only wear one at a time.

That one-piece cap lifts once you reach Revered with the new Guardians of Hyjal reputation, which lets you wear two crafted pieces and reach your set's 2-piece bonus, per the same player report. The chest and head pieces are not on the crafting list, so expect those two to be raid drops only. The beta files do not yet say which boss drops which piece.

What Blizzard hasn't confirmed yet

Blizzard has not named a single set, bonus, or recolor in an official post. The beta client also holds four color variants of every set, in both HD and SD models. A forum thread says Blizzard called the extra colors "off-spec" during a pre-launch Q&A; one reply guesses that means armor for other classes sharing the same gear type, but no recording or transcript backs either claim up yet. Dungeon sets changed too: beta trackers agree the old Tier 0 and 0.5 bonuses moved from 2/4/6/8 pieces to 2/3/4/5/6, and the old 8-piece bonus is gone.

The Wowdee add-on will show which of your tier pieces are crafted, which are raid drops, and which piece is still missing before your next set bonus.

Still to come

Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:

  • Exact raid bosses and drop tables for each set's chest and head pieces.
  • Blizzard's own explanation for the four recolor variants, beyond one forum thread's secondhand Q&A account.
  • Final, non-beta bonus numbers once Blizzard locks balance before the 9 December raid launch.
  • Official confirmation of the Revered reputation requirement to wear a second crafted piece.
  • Which profession and skill level teach the four craftable tier set recipes.
