Layer display
Shows which layer you’re on, read from nearby NPCs, and tells you when it changes.
Under your minimap, in the Wowdee add-on.
Drawn from the add-on’s own screens · sample data.
See your layer
A small label under the minimap shows the layer you’re on.
Read from NPCs
Wowdee reads it from the NPCs you mouse over, target or see on nameplates.
Know when it changes
With Toasts on, a banner tells you when you’ve moved to another layer.
Questions
Can Wowdee move me to another layer?
No. It never moves you, invites anyone or sends messages. To switch layers, you still join a group yourself.
Why does it sometimes show a question mark?
After a loading screen Wowdee waits until you mouse over or target an NPC. It doesn’t read layers in combat or inside instances.
