Guild welcomes
An optional prompt when a new member joins. Choose a suggested greeting or write your own, then click to welcome them in guild chat.
Settings → Gameplay → Guild welcomes, in the Wowdee add-on.
Choose to turn it on
Guild welcomes starts Off. Choose Suggested in Settings for a ready-made greeting, or Custom to save your own.
Make it your greeting
Write a short message on one line. Use {name} once if you want the new member’s name included, then Save and check the preview.
Welcome with a click
After Wowdee has a complete roster to compare, a new member can trigger a welcome prompt. Click Say welcome when you want to send the greeting to guild chat.
Questions
Does enabling it send messages automatically?
No. It shows a prompt. Sending the welcome always takes your click, just like Say grats.
Will it welcome everyone when I log in?
No. The first complete roster establishes who is already there. Reloads, guild switches and incomplete roster reads do not count as new joins.
Can I turn it off without losing my message?
Yes. Set the mode to Off; your saved custom greeting remains available for later.
The add-on is out now.
