Nearby highlights
A marker on the herb, ore or quest object you can interact with nearby, and a note when it’s a material your goals still need.
Settings → Nearby highlights, in the Wowdee add-on.
Choose what to mark
Turn on markers for herbs, ore or quest objects, and the game’s own quest sparkles if you like them. Everything starts switched off.
Read the marker
It shows + when the object is in reach, > when it’s out of reach, ? when the range is unknown and x when it’s unavailable. Choose a steady marker, its size and brightness, or hide unavailable objects.
Gather with a purpose
Turn on Only materials for my goals, and herb and ore markers appear only for materials your shopping list or an active goal still needs, with how many.
Questions
Does it show every node around me?
No. It marks the one object the game currently offers you to interact with, not every node in the area. For spots further away, use Farming mode or map pins.
Will it mark quest mobs?
No. Quest objects are things you interact with, like a crate or a plant the game ties to your quest. Enemies aren’t marked.
Does it change my game settings?
Some options switch on game settings they rely on, like the game’s own quest sparkles. Turning an option off puts your previous settings back, unless you’ve changed them yourself in the meantime.
