How the season journey works

Each PvP season in Forever includes a journey of weekly tasks. Completing a task grants Honor and Rank Points, and three tasks each season also grant a Legacy Point. Blizzard's Legacy article names them: the quests for weeks 4, 7 and 10 of the Field of Honor PvP Season's Journey.

Blizzard hasn't published the objectives or reward amounts for any week.

The season moves on; the three Legacy stamps stay in the ledger.

If you miss a Legacy week

Because those three tasks are tied to the Legacy system, Blizzard says they remain available to complete in future seasons. Miss week 7 this season and that Legacy Point isn't lost.

That promise covers the Legacy-linked tasks only. Blizzard hasn't said whether the other weekly tasks, or the Honor and Rank Points attached to them, can be caught up after their week passes.

Fitting the three points into a season

These are the only PvP Legacy points tied to a week rather than a rank or a reputation. The other nine come from reaching ranks 3, 7, 10, 13 and 14, and from Exalted with each of the four battleground reputations, so the journey quests are the part of the category's 12 points you can schedule by the calendar.

Rank Points carry a weekly cap, and holiday-week battlegrounds boost both Honor and Rank Points, so a season's pace still comes down to steady weekly play. Your rank and Rank Points appear on the Player vs. Player tab of the Character Pane (C); Blizzard hasn't said where the journey itself is tracked.

PvP Legacy Challenges can't be completed in Hardcore, so these weeks belong to the Normal, PvP and Roleplaying rulesets.

Still to come

Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:

  • The names and objectives of each week's task, including weeks 4, 7 and 10.
  • Whether weeks unlock in order, and whether non-Legacy weekly tasks can be caught up later.
  • Season length and when the first season starts.
  • Whether finishing a missed Legacy task in a later season still pays its Honor and Rank Points.
