One of two Adventure points

Blizzard's Legacy System article gives the Adventure category two challenges worth one point each: explore the entire world map on the same character, and complete the Lord Valthalak dungeon set questline. Finishing the questline earns one Legacy Point for your Battle.net account, usable by all your non-Hardcore characters.

Adventure here is a challenge category. It isn't the Adventure perk tree, where you spend points on Well Rested, Talented and the rest. The shared name trips people up.

A long chain with a single point at the end; the seals aren't a step count, as Forever's steps are unpublished.

What the published sources don't cover

That one line is everything Blizzard has published about this challenge. There's no quest list, starting location, prerequisite, materials list, gold cost, group size or summoned boss for Forever's version, and nothing on which step awards the point.

The label 'dungeon set questline' will remind Classic veterans of a long gear-upgrade chain. Treat that memory as a lead, not a route. Forever has reworked plenty of familiar content, and a Classic shopping list may not match what Forever's quest givers ask for.

Should you chase it?

You don't need it to reach the cap. One character can earn up to 29 Legacy Points against a 16-point spending limit, so the Valthalak point is optional in a main-only plan.

If you want it anyway, start when Forever's own quest text is in front of you, and hold off buying or banking materials until then. The point is account-wide, so the chain only has to pay off once.

Still to come

Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:

  • Forever's quest names, starting NPC and prerequisites for the chain.
  • The materials, gold and group size the chain asks for.
  • Which bosses it summons or requires, and which step awards the Legacy Point.
