Where is Riverglades in WoW: Forever?
Riverglades sits on the eastern coast of the Eastern Kingdoms, bordered by the Redridge Mountains, the Burning Steppes, the Swamp of Sorrows, and the Badlands. Blizzard's own panel recap confirms the zone and its neighbors directly: it is built from a stretch of the Classic map that was never open to players, and it is roughly the size of Stranglethorn Vale.
Blizzard also confirms the sea route in. A new Steamwheedle Cartel ship line runs from Tanaris to Powderfuse Port, a neutral goblin port on the Riverglades coast. The overland route is still guide territory. Third-party guides describe a new fork off the Redridge road leading in on foot, but no Blizzard post names it yet, so treat that path as likely rather than confirmed until you see it in the client.
Files pulled from the beta client already name more than a dozen sub-areas inside Riverglades, among them Powderfuse Port, Farholde Keep, and Krol'dok Stronghold. A name sitting in the game files is not the same as a live quest hub, so treat that list as the shape of what is coming, not a route you can plan around yet.

Riverglades level range and quest count
Blizzard describes Riverglades as a rugged frontier of rivers, grasslands, trade routes, struggling communities, and old grudges, spanning much of the mid-30s to mid-40s. On quest count, Blizzard has given two different numbers. The What's Next panel says more than 150 new quests, and the Found Photos panel a day later calls it nearly 200. Neither post explains the gap, so read it as 150 to 200 quests until Blizzard settles it.
The zone also holds Krol'dok Stronghold, one of the nine new Forever dungeons and an outdoor fight against an ogre clan. Third-party guides place it around level 40 to 45, inside Riverglades itself, which would make it a level-appropriate stop partway through the zone rather than a side trip.
Blizzard's Found Photos panel confirms the questing runs for both Horde and Alliance rather than splitting down the middle, and it names the groups you will meet there: gnoll camps, fresh ogre threats, the new Powderfuse goblins, the Twilight's Hammer, and the Brotherhood of the Horse. Blizzard does not say who is friend or foe. That framing, the Twilight's Hammer as an early threat and the Brotherhood of the Horse as an old ally, still comes from third-party guides, so hold it loosely until the zone opens.
Is Riverglades live in the beta yet?
Not as of the 1 October beta build. That update raised the beta's level cap to 30 and added Excavation Site: Wetlands, Razorfen Downs, and Uldaman, but nothing from Riverglades. The zone needs characters in the mid-30s at minimum, so it was always going to wait behind a cap increase.
WoW: Forever's beta began 17 September 2026, and the full game launches globally on 4 November 2026 at 3:00 p.m. PST. If Riverglades opens before then, it will show up in a dated beta note, not a guess from a guide site.
Plan the level, not the path
If you are mapping a 1 to 60 route, leave a gap in the mid-30s for Riverglades and fill it once the quests are public. Do not paste a Classic zone over that stretch. Riverglades is new ground, not a reskin of anything you leveled through before.
Wowdee will drop Riverglades into your leveling route the moment its quests go live, slotting the hubs and the Krol'dok Stronghold run into your gap by character level instead of leaving you to guess.
Still to come
Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:
- The exact hub names, quest givers, and chain order inside Riverglades.
- Whether Blizzard reconciles its two quest totals for Riverglades (more than 150 versus nearly 200) before launch.
- Whether any quests split by faction, beyond the shared framing Blizzard and third-party guides give.
- Official confirmation of the Redridge road fork into Riverglades.
- Whether Riverglades opens in the beta before 4 November 2026, or only at launch.
