The six teas

Teas are one of two new drink lines in WoW: Forever's Cooking. Zockify's Cooking guide says each tea restores mana and, if you drink for at least 10 seconds, grants a 15-minute Well Fed buff with Healing Power. The bonus climbs steeply through the middle skills: Triage Tea at 180 doubles Root Tea's +11.

Where the recipes come from

This is the weak spot. Zockify's recipe database lists Triage, Sunny and Sage's Tea with no known source yet, and the data read for this guide doesn't name sources for Peace, Royal or Root Tea either. The Spirit smoothies are easier to plan: their recipes sell for Merchant's Favor, 30 each for the three low ones, 60 for Calcified and Spicy, and 90 for Wicked.

One recent change touches Peace Tea. Blizzard's October 8 notes set the recipe's vendor sell price to 10 copper. That's what a vendor pays you for it, so it says nothing about where to find the recipe, only that a spare copy is no longer worth much.

Tea, smoothie or food?

Each tea has a Spirit twin at the same skill, from Venomous Smoothie at 25 (+1 Spirit) to Wicked Smoothie at 250 (+20). Both lines are described as Well Fed buffs, and none of the sources read here says two Well Fed buffs can run at once, so plan to pick one rather than stack them.

At the top end, a tea isn't your only healer option. Zockify's list of top dishes, which it says need level 55, includes Sunrise Omelette at +25 Spell Damage, +55 Healing Power and +10 Stamina, and the 40-player Specklefin Feast and Grand Lobster Banquet at +44 Healing Power plus Attack Power, Spell Damage and Stamina. Sage's Tea matches the feasts on healing alone and gives nothing else, so its case rests on the mana it restores and on being usable long before level 55.

Camp objects are a different kind of buff. Blizzard describes them as variants of class buffs that don't stack with those class buffs, and calls the campfire a natural place to refresh food buffs, so a fire is where you'd drink your tea anyway.

Still to come

Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:

  • Recipe sources for all six teas.
  • Reagents for Royal Tea and Root Tea.
  • How much mana each tea restores.
  • Whether a tea's Well Fed buff and a food's Well Fed buff can be active together.
  • Whether a tea's Healing Power also adds the one-third bonus damage Blizzard says bonus healing now includes.
