Where Shaper's Terrace is

Shaper's Terrace is in the northern hills of Un'Goro Crater: an ancient titan facility high above the crater, overlooking a land that seems untouched by time. It is a five-player dungeon for levels 58 to 60, the highest starting level of WoW: Forever's nine new dungeons.

Expect dinosaurs, titan structures, tar pits and powerful crystals. On the 8 October official podcast, one designer said it was their favourite to work on, "just because I like dinosaurs".

Dee climbs titan steps on a hill above Un'Goro Crater's jungle and tar pits, as red, blue, green and yellow power crystals float up from the crater into a stone console that glows at the top.
What you gather in Un'Goro is what opens the way forward on the terrace.

Power crystals: gather them before you go

Shaper's Terrace links the crater outside to the dungeon inside. Blizzard tells players to bring power crystals gathered throughout Un'Goro and use them at consoles within the terrace.

Power crystals are an old Un'Goro feature. They come in four colours, each found mostly in one quarter of the crater: blue in the southeast, green in the northeast, red in the southwest and yellow in the northwest.

Blizzard has not said which colours the consoles want or how many. Until players have seen them, pick up every crystal you pass while questing in Un'Goro, and bring all four colours.

Shaper's Terrace or Blackmaw Hold at 60

Forever has two new dungeons for the very end of leveling. Blackmaw Hold in Azshara runs from 55 to 60 and is one long session. Shaper's Terrace starts at 58, so it is the one to plan for once you are close to the cap.

Neither was open in the beta when this was written, so bosses, quests and loot are still unseen.

Wowdee's dungeon guide will add the terrace's consoles, bosses and quests as soon as they can be checked, and remind you about the crystals while you are still in the crater.

Still to come

Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:

  • Which power crystal colours the consoles use, how many, and what they unlock.
  • Boss names, boss count and loot.
  • The dungeon's quests and where they start.
