What changed for priest racials in Forever?
In Classic, these two spells were race-locked: Fear Ward to dwarves, Devouring Plague to undead. WoW: Forever drops that split. Fear Ward and Devouring Plague are baseline for every priest at level 20, no matter your race.
Divine Spirit is baseline at level 30, and Shadow Word: Death joins the kit at level 32 on a 15 second cooldown. It hits hard in Shadow damage, but if the target survives you take 10 percent of your maximum health. Renew can also land from more than one priest on the same target now, so two priests overlapping heals on an ally no longer wastes the second cast.

Alliance priest racials: human, dwarf, night elf, gnome
Humans learn Divine Grace at 10: an instant heal on an ally under 50 percent health that also clears Weakened Soul. You cannot cast it on yourself, and it has a 5 minute cooldown. Humans also keep Feedback.
Dwarves keep Desperate Prayer, and learn Chastise at 20, which damages a humanoid target and roots it for 2 seconds on a 2 minute cooldown.
Night elves keep Starshards at 10, now on a 30 second cooldown with a much bigger hit, and Elune's Grace at 20, which cuts the chance for melee or ranged attacks to hit you by 50 percent for 15 seconds, or until three attacks have missed, whichever comes first, on a 5 minute cooldown.
Gnome priests are new to WoW: Forever. They learn Confounding Flash at 10, which confuses up to five nearby enemies for 3 seconds and breaks on damage, and Contingency Plan at 20, a 30 second ward on an ally that triggers an absorb shield and a heal over time the moment that ally drops under 35 percent health. Contingency Plan's effects can sit alongside Renew and Power Word: Shield. The 1 October beta build also gave Confounding Flash a proper cast visual and fixed Contingency Plan so it can land critical hits.
Horde priest racials: troll and undead
Trolls keep Hex of Weakness and Shadowguard, both unchanged.
Undead keep Touch of Weakness, and Dark Sacrifice at 20, which drains your own health to gain mana over time, with Spirit increasing how much mana you get, a built-in way to refill mana without sitting down to drink. The 1 October beta build fixed Dark Sacrifice so it no longer breaks crowd control effects that end when you take damage.
Which priest racials actually matter?
None of the six kits is strictly stronger than the rest, they solve different problems. Gnome brings reliable crowd control plus a free shield and heal over time safety net. Night elf pairs a bigger Starshards nuke with a defensive evasion cooldown, good for soloing and PvP. Human's Divine Grace is a free extra heal that does not share a cooldown with your other spells. Dwarf and Troll bring smaller, situational utility, and Undead gives Shadow priests a way to refill mana mid fight.
The Wowdee add-on will show the two racial spells your character actually has next to the four every priest now shares, so you are never guessing which cooldown belongs to your race.
