Everything the Skyborne Epic Pack includes

The Skyborne Epic Pack is the $59.99 middle tier in WoW: Forever's pre-purchase lineup, between the $29.99 Skyborne Heroic Pack and the $79.99 Warcraft Forever Collection. It carries over everything in the Heroic Pack: the Skyborne race and its Zephras Isle starting zone, Early Name Reservation, the Cerulean Prideclaw ground mount, the Shen'dorei Skyseer's Garb transmog, a Veteran Adventurer's Rucksack, the Shen'dorei Windwell toy, and a set of Skyborne housing decor for modern WoW. On top of that it adds access to the WoW: Forever Beta, 30 days of WoW Game Time credited at launch, a matching bear mount and transmog set, two tabards, the Zergling, Panda, Diablo, and Pachimari pets, and two more Invite-A-Friend codes, for three in total instead of one.

WoW Forever Epic Pack price vs. Heroic Pack

Three optional editions sit on top of a normal WoW subscription or Game Time, which is all the base game needs from 4 November 2026. The Skyborne Heroic Pack costs $29.99 and is the cheapest way to unlock the Skyborne race itself; Icy Veins' pre-order guide confirms you can buy Heroic now and upgrade to Epic later by paying the difference. The Skyborne Epic Pack costs $59.99, thirty dollars more, and is the price most players compare when they ask whether the extra beta access, game time, and cosmetics are worth the jump. The Warcraft Forever Collection costs $79.99 and is a limited-time bundle, on sale through 11 January 2027, that adds Warcraft III: Reforged and its Forsaken Kingdom campaign plus Forsaken and Human housing decor on top of everything in the Epic Pack. A physical Collector's Edition also exists through Blizzard's Gear store, listed at $150 in the US Blizzard Gear Store, bundling the Collection's digital contents with a statue, art prints, and pins; it sold out within days of going on sale.

Is the Skyborne Epic Pack worth it?

Whether the WoW: Forever Epic Pack is worth it depends on what you want on day one. Blizzard's shop page is explicit that the Skyborne race and its Zephras Isle starting questline are locked behind the Heroic Pack or a higher edition, so if you want to play a Skyborne at launch, that is the one piece of gameplay actually gated by a purchase. Everything the Epic Pack adds beyond the Heroic Pack is time-limited or cosmetic: the beta ends 21 October 2026, the 30 days of game time offsets roughly a month of subscription cost, and the bear mount, tabards, and pets are collection pieces rather than power. If you only want to play the Skyborne race, the $29.99 Heroic Pack covers it; the extra $30 for Epic buys a beta preview with about two weeks left before it ends, a month of game time, and more cosmetics, which makes it a convenience purchase rather than one you need to compete or level.

Dates to know if you buy an upgrade pack

Buying any upgrade pack starts a short calendar of its own, in the order it happens between now and launch.

Wowdee's milestones feature will turn those dates into a simple reminder list made for your account: beta access, the name reservation window, and the day your Invite-A-Friend codes land in your inbox.

  1. 17 September to 21 October 2026: WoW: Forever Beta, open to Epic Pack and Collection buyers.
  2. 20 October 2026: Invite-A-Friend codes start arriving by email for qualifying purchases.
  3. 27 October to 3 November 2026: Early Name Reservation, up to three characters, included with any upgrade pack.
  4. 4 November 2026, 3:00 p.m. PST: WoW: Forever launches; Invite-A-Friend codes work through 11 November 2026.

Still to come

Not yet settled by our sources or tested in game:

  • Whether Battle.net Shop prices in currencies other than USD and EUR match the $29.99 / $59.99 / $79.99 tiers (EU pricing in euros already matches).
  • Whether pre-purchase prices change once WoW: Forever is live on 4 November 2026.
  • Which specific pre-purchase upgrade paths qualify for Blizzard's automatic Battle.net Balance credit when later redeeming a Collector's Edition code, since Blizzard says some need Blizzard Support instead and not every purchase qualifies.
