Druid Cat Form quest in WoW: Forever

What level do druids get Cat Form in WoW: Forever?

Cat Form is not automatic. Druids unlock it through a class quest chain that opens at level 20, the same way Bear Form opens through a quest chain around level 10.

At level 10, your faction's druid trainer, Mathrengyl Bearwalker in Darnassus for Alliance or Turak Runetotem in Thunder Bluff for Horde, teaches the Teleport: Moonglade spell and sends you to Dendrite Starblaze in Nighthaven, Moonglade, who runs the actual bear trial. At level 20 that same trainer opens the cat path and sends you back to Dendrite, so the teleport is already in your spellbook rather than something to plan a trip on foot for.

The Great Cat Spirit quest chain, step by step

The chain runs through Moonglade and a den just east of it. Night elf and tauren druids meet the Great Cat Spirit, a spectral nightsaber on a hill in southern Moonglade. Skyborne druids meet the Avatar of Saeyleenan instead, in the same spot. Both versions ask for the same three relics.

1. Get The Great Cat Spirit from your druid trainer, Mathrengyl Bearwalker in Darnassus or Turak Runetotem in Thunder Bluff, at level 20, then speak with Dendrite Starblaze in Nighthaven, Moonglade.
2. Find the Great Cat Spirit on a hill overlooking the bridge in southern Moonglade, or for Skyborne druids, the Avatar of Saeyleenan just south of the twin bridges in the same area.
3. Enter Stormrage Barrow Den, east of the spirit, and collect the Relic of the Fang, the Relic of the Claw, and the Relic of the Silent Shadow.
4. Return all three relics to the spirit to complete Blessings of the Great Cat Spirit, or Blessings of the Great Windborne Cat Spirit.
5. Report back to Dendrite Starblaze, then finish To Darnassus (Alliance) or To Thunder Bluff (Horde) to learn Cat Form.

The 1 October fix, and what Skyborne druids still see

Late September 2026, the Stormrage Barrow Den relics became a bottleneck. A 28 September forum thread describes a hundred-plus players queued at a single lootable spirit statue, with the same few accounts looting it over and over to lock everyone else out with a "No loot" error.

The 1 October 2026 beta development notes confirm a fix: "Fixed an issue where players were not receiving loot reliably during the quests 'The Great Cat Spirit' and 'The Great Windborne Cat Spirit.'" The same notes add a separate, unrelated change: High Order Skyborne can now complete Power Over Poison to learn the Cure Poison spell. That quest does not touch Cat Form.

A 2 October 2026 forum thread raises a different problem. Some Skyborne druids report the level 20 quest never appearing at all, whether they check the Skyborne druid trainer or Dendrite Starblaze in Moonglade. One reply says a server restart produced the quest for them. Blizzard has not confirmed a cause or a fix as of this writing.

Skyborne druids get their own cat spirit

Skyborne choose Horde (Windshaper) or Alliance (High Order) at character creation, and both sides can play Druid. Either way, your Zephras Isle character travels to the same Moonglade spirits as night elves and tauren, just with the Avatar of Saeyleenan standing in for the Great Cat Spirit, and dialogue that addresses you as a "young shen'dorei," Blizzard's own name for the race.

Blizzard's Skyborne overview confirms the payoff is visual, not just textual: Skyborne have new druid forms created specifically for the race, so a Skyborne Cat Form will not look like the night elf or tauren version.

Wowdee will track exactly where your druid stands in the Great Cat Spirit chain, from the trainer quest that starts it to the relic run through Stormrage Barrow Den to the faction hand-in that finally teaches Cat Form, so you always know the next step instead of guessing.
